It was an absolutely fabulous evening of entertainment, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended.

If anybody out there has not seen Ricky Lavazza live, go and see him ! He is an amazing singer and performer with a large and loyal following here on the Costa del Sol. He wowed the audience with his superb and varied repertoire of popular hits from favourite artists and engaged with the audience brilliantly.

Special thanks also go to The Two Sopranos, Lynn Fisher and Maggie Blackaby had voices of angels with wonderful harmonies and Mark Curry who presented the whole show with professionalism and style and also revealed his talent as a singer on the night. All the special guests sung duets with Ricky which provided the final finishing touch to an enjoyable and varied evening of superb entertainment.

Thanks also go to the Jo Prothero and the Sunset Beach management and staff for their help in staging the event, John Simpson, the president of Tomas Leighton Care who introduced the Charity behind the event and Alejandro Serrano who translated all the key information professionally into Spanish for the Spanish attendees.

We have posted the complete list of raffle prizes and the results in a separate post entitled Raffle Prize Winners and would like to thank Louise O´Connor, Kirsty and Megan Dennis and Tara O´Sullivan for helping with the raffle and on the doors.´

We have also posted a selection of the best photos taken on the evening in another post ´Photos taken on March 16th Sunset Beach Moonlight Bar´. If anyone has any other photos of the evening please send them on to tomasleightoncare@googlemail.com

We can´t thank you all enough for your thoughtful generosity.

We are proud and thrilled to announce that the total raised via the raffle, sponsorship, ticket entry, and other related fundraising both before the event and on the night was  4120 Euros!

This figure included the auctioning of Tony Edwards´ shoes by Ricky on the night, which raised 70 Euros donated by the highest bidders Brian and Doreen Kershaw. Thanks to both Brian and Doreen for their generosity and Tony for continuing the night barefooted and proudly smiling!

So, it just remains to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all who, in their own unique way, helped to make this event such a resounding success.

I have spent some money in my time on holiday, but on the 16th March this year we met a lovely boy called Tomas, and his lovely mum and dad at a charity auction. We would just like to say it was one of the best nights we have ever had. P.S some chap called Ricky, aka Elvis, went out of his way to make this a very special night for everybody there. well done! P.P.S. can we have a refund as the shoes don’t fit?!
