On the Sunday 25th January 2015, there was a fabulous All Star Tribute Show in aid of Tomas Leighton Care.
Maxine and Brian Warner and Suri Lederberger organised this superb night of top class entertainment.
A huge amount of work and planning went into the show for months beforehand and there were a variety of wonderfully talented acts involved with the actual show on the night. The show was absolutely amazing. We have had so very many emails and calls from people saying what a fantastic night they had.
The show started with a short speech by Suri Lederberger and then the show began
Presented by comedian Jed Stone (Jed is on the left, pictured with Maxine and Brian Warner).
Sam Aston, who plays Chesney Brown in Coronation Street and is one of the patrons of Tomas’s charity, came along to show his support too (Pictured left with some of the choir members).
Photos of the Venue
The show included performances by Maurice Abrahams, The Morgan School of Irish Dancing and Abba 2 Nite, who removed one item of clothing every song, to roars of applause for an encore from the guys when they were down to the last layer!
Also appearing were The Greater Manchester Police Dixie Band, The Jewish Theatre Choir, The King David School Choir, Maxine and Brian Warner and finally The Bachelors, who I still can’t believe topped the bill for no charge.
All the acts made the evening a truly special occasion. It was a magical night.

Here they are with everyone on Stage…
We were also honoured to have Sonny Warner MBE there supporting us and invited him up on stage to thank him for his incredible raising efforts on Tomas’s behalf over the past 5 years. He is an amazing example to us all and a truly inspiring 92 year old (Sonny is pictured here with us).
We are very proud to be able to announce that the final total raised on the night was an a amazing 7,450 pounds!
A HUGE thank you goes to all the artists and sponsors involved with this fantastic fundraiser and to Maxine and Brian Warner and Suri Lederberger, since without their dedication and hard work, none of this would have been possible.
On the 21st September 2014 two amateur cyclists, Paul Kearns and Steve Tindall set off on an epic bike ride from Baildon, West Yorkshire to Benalmadena, Spain – a distance of some 2,000 miles in a bid to raise funds for two charities, Tomas Leighton Care and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Their route will take them through England, approximately 300 miles to pick up a ferry across the Channel into France. Following a Westerly route through France they will cycle through Normandy towards Alencon, Le Mans, Tours and Limoges. Pedalling on further South through the Dordogne region towards Cahors and Toulouse. Then heading East towards Carcassone and Narbonne where the route heads South towards Perpignan, over the Pyranees and into Spain.
The route through Spain will be pretty much straight down the East coast, passing through Figeures, Lloret De Mar, Barcelona, Benidorm, Alicante, Malaga and finally into Benalmadena.

We had a great bag packing day at Iceland in Fuengirola. We had fantastic help from the Brownies and Guides from Alhaurin. They were amazing under the watchful eye of Tony and Callee Gedge,(leaders) and also from some friends and supporters including Joh Smith and Fernando Cabanillas, Marie Lathrope, Faye Bastie,Rebecca Isabelle Court,Alex Barrett, and Andrea Mravikova . The amazing total we raised was a staggering 899 euros and 80 cents. This will cover nearly five and a half months of Physio, one of the many treatments we do with Tomas. Just to say a BIG THANK YOU to all who helped us and of course to the Iceland staff and customers from the Fuengirola store who were very helpful and generous on this TLC charity day.

Just to let you know that our little star won the Child Of Courage Award at the Pride Of Marbella Awards 2013 (Joint with another nominee Ashley Kate who is also a courageous 16 year old who has been through a lot and still managed to pass her school exams).
He looked ab fab in his little three piece suit (from the local Chinese shop)…17 euros for the suit and he looked a million dollars! (Photos attached. The blond lady, Maxine, is the UK based member of his charity committee). We are even more proud than normal today :)
Thank you for voting for him.
